Q: How do I place an advert?
A: Firstly, you must be a registered member in order to be eligible to place an advertisment on the site. It is a quick and easy process and will allow you to place an advertisment in any of our sections. If you would like to register, click here.

If you are already registered, then you will need to login to your account to place an ad. On the right hand side of the page, you will see a box with a list of links. On of these will be "Place an Ad". Click on this and follow the steps. You'll have your ad up in a matter of minutes!

Q: How do I search the site?
A: There are 2 ways to search the site for your perfect horse. On the right of every page you will see a quick search box. Simply choose a category of horse from the dropdown list and click go. This will returned all of the horses under this category for your perusal.

If you wish to perform a more refined search, use our advanced search facility. There is a link to tis on the left hand side of every page in the "Browse Categories" box. Here you can define the type of horse you are looking for, the miminum and maximum height of the horse, your price range and even the sex of the horse. This will provide you with a more refined listing of horses that match your criteria. To perform ad advanced search, click here.

Q: How do I login?
A: If you have registered and wish to login to your account, you can use our simple login box on the right hand side of every page. Simply enter your username (this will be your email address) and the password you chose while registering and then click the login button. You will then be re-directed to your account page. If you entered an incorrect username or password then you will be prompted to try again. If you have forgotten your password, click here.

Q: How do I register as a member?
A: If you wish to register, simply click here and follow the steps. It will only take a few minutes to complete and we will not disclose you information to any other parties.

Q: How do I pay for an ad?
A: All ads placed on Irish Horse Trader.com are FREE so you do not have to worry about paying for your advertisement. If you want to upgrade your advertisement to our Featured Ad then see below. This offer does not apply to business banner ads.

To upgrade your advertisement to a featured ad you will be required to pay a small fee.. We currently accept:
Credit Card Payments through the secure PayPal system.
or
Cheques and postal orders payable to ZedWeb Design and sent to ZedWeb Design, c/o Zena Ryle, Bridestream, Kilcock, Co.Kildare. Ads will not be upgraded until receipt of payment.

Q: What format should my picture be?
A: Your file size must not exceed 150KB or it will be rejected by the server.
The dimensions of your photo must not exceed 250 pixels width x 185 pixels height. It can be uploaded as a JPEG or as a GIF file. An example photo can be seen below:
